Proposal?
I've just heard the best news! Elizabeth Bennet has denied my beautiful Mr. Darcy's hand in marriage. Though it crushed me to hear of this absurd proposal, i'm excited for the possiblility of mending Darcy's heart. Elizabeth made the correct decision in denying his hand, I believe she was scared of me!

My sister is not afriad, it's just not what she wanted. You are beautiful enough to have any man. Why must it be Mr. Darcy? You may get any man you wish if you please to. I do hope that you will give your brother my best.
ReplyDeleteI do not fear a woman who has no greater judgment than her own and who has the heart of a witch. You can have Darcy anyway you please but keep in mind the fact he pronounced his love to me. You purposefully broke up the happiness of two people, which is of your brother. I do not wish to have you any happier than the souls you broke. Remember fear is the fault in which you do not believe in yourself, and I have full belief; therefore, you have none.

Mr. Darcey is not the man that my sister Elizabeth was looking for, and she denied him not because she was intimidated by you, but because she wanted true love, and she did not find that in Mr. Darcey. Mr. Darcey is a very handsome and wealthy man and you would be such a lucky girl to be with him. I hope that one day he will propose to you and you can both live together happily.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am flattered by your words, i do not bestow much hope in them. I do wish for someone to mend my broken heart, but this someone must be Elizabeth. She will come to her senses eventually and see how perfect we would be together. I do wish of you, Caroline, to back off and do not discourage Elizabeth from taking my hand in marriage.
ReplyDeleteLadies, please. I realize the effects of which my best friend and myself have over women, but let me assure you this arguing is futile. Unfortunately my heart has already been captured by Miss Charlotte so you have to settle for Mr.Darcy, but be sure that if he chooses anyone, he's going to choose my friendship over all of you. Ta ta for now!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth has stolen the heart of Mr. Darcy. If he has as good of taste as he has proven so far, he would never choose a women like you. Lizzy may have or have not maken a mistake, but as her sister, I fully support any decision she makes that will result in her happiness.
ReplyDeleteEveryone quiet yourselves! You should be ashamed of your childlike behavior. Obviously my dearest Elizabeth was simply taken aback by the proposal and will sooner, rather than later, come to her senses about Mr. Darcy's love for her. Caroline, you naive, naive soul. It will only be a matter of time before Elizabeth will be looking over you like a bug!
